The highlight of my week is the email back-and-forth with all of you. And, yet, writing these newsletters is so often the first thing to fall off when things get busy.
So, here’s to kicking off 2022 with better consistency with this newsletter! As always, hit reply with any questions or thoughts. I love hearing from you.
What’s on my mind this week…
It is looking likely that we may see the end of fluoridation within our lifetimes.
Eagerly awaiting an update on the fluoride lawsuit, which the court has scheduled for next Tuesday, January 18. This is a landmark federal trial which very well could change the longstanding practice of adding fluoride to the drinking water supplies for 200 million Americans, not to mention, protect future generations from neurological damage.
This study shows the impact of fluoride on our sleep.
Speaking of brain health, this study posits that fluoride impacts sleep by leading to premature pineal gland calcification and thus decreased melatonin production. This is the reason I take K2 twice a day, both fat and water-soluble versions. There’s only one company I’ve found that makes one that contains both, which is why it’s my go-to (I’ve linked it here.)

Podcast Episode #32: The “F” Treatment
Approximately eight percent of the annual USA dentistry budget is spent on fluoride treatments for children. In this episode, I go in-depth on the scientific research that supports the idea that these treatments are harmful to our pediatric patients. Share this episode with your patients or share it with your dentist!
Thanks for reading and have a great week.
P.S. I’m looking forward to sharing my thoughts with you on the new Dr. Kara Fitzgerald book once I receive my review copy. You’ve heard me say it before—it’s not your genetics that determines your health, it’s the lifestyle factors that influence how those genes express themselves, aka, epigenetics. Most adults will spend the final years of their lives with multiple illnesses and on multiple medications—this book is all about how to “age backwards” or, as I like to call it “square the life curve.” You can pre-order her book here.
