Did you know that there is ONE phase of sleep that almost everyone fails to get enough of? This one phase of sleep is responsible for your body’s ability to repair itself, control appetite and weight loss hormones, and even your daytime energy levels.
The stage I’m  referring to is “deep sleep.” It’s one of my greatest concerns with my sleep medicine patients and it’s a marker I follow when treating them.
