My daughter wanted me to purchase Crest whitening strips the morning before her prom. I went to the drugstore to buy the product and it said that 5 days are required before you see results. Also, the product was not cheap…$50.00. What do you think of these whitening kits sold in pharmacies. Do they really work? Is the bleaching ingredient bad for your health?
Is whitening bad for you? I’m always happy with the results of whitening strips, but I’m always worried that I did some damage to my teeth. I would pay more if I knew it was safer for me and I wasn’t going to lose my teeth later on in life. It’s that tingly feeling that makes me worry I’ve done damage to my teeth.
Are some techniques better than others?
Which is better: Rembrandt or Crest whitening strips?
I’m 11 years old and all my teeth haven’t grown in yet. Can I still get them whitened?

What is the most cost effective method of whitening your teeth on a budget?
I used whitening trays from my dentist when I was in fifth grade. Now I’ve read that whitening should be for adults only. Who’s right and have I done any permanent damage to my teeth?
I drink coffee every day but want to avoid staining so I have bleaching gel that I use with my trays retainer. It makes my teeth really sensitive the next day though, so I was wondering if you can overdo it with the bleach. How often should I be using the bleaching gel and trays and how much is too much? I was thinking of spreading it out to once a week – will that make a difference?
