Rest in peace, Steve Jobs.

I had an Apple patient in the chair when I heard. I went to tell her. She was holding her iPhone open to the Apple web site with his photo. She was weeping. I consider Steve Jobs to be among history’s greatest figures, like Abraham Lincoln and Genghis Khan. Unlike these heroes, however, Steve Jobs marks the new era that we are currently living in. He brought people together with his visionary hardware and software and has changed all of us forever.

Remembering that I’ll be dead soon is the most important tool I’ve ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything — all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure – these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart. – Steve Jobs

Dear Dr.Burhenne,
looking for Websites of Steve Jobs, i found yours. I am a dentist in Germany.
I am very very very sad, that Steve passed away.
Unfortunately, I have never been in Cupertino or Palo Alto. I wished i had seen him on one of this key notes….
